So far this year, the most popular stories on hotel designs were the articles that referenced the hotel openings and development plans of Marriott, Raffles, Hyatt and Hilton in 2022 and beyond. Following popular demand from our readers to be up to date with the latest and greatest hospitality entries, from February we have relaunched our much-loved editorial series on VIP arrivals.

Each month, the editorial team will take turns to announce the next hotel openings that we keep talking about. So, without further ado, here are my hottest hotel openings to look forward to in February.

Hundred Shoreditch, London

Situated in a prime position on Shoreditch High Street, and arriving in February on our “hotel openings” radar, Hundred Shoreditch is the new hotel of Lore Group, the group behind Sea Containers London, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Riggs Washington DC and Lyle Washington DC. Designed by Lore Group Creative Director Jacu Strauss, One Hundred Shoreditch will reflect the area’s evolution over the past decade, with interiors that reflect the neighborhood’s new grown-up feel while retaining the buzz and vibrancy synonymous with the area in the hotel public. the spaces.

For the wellness gurus among us, the news that Chiva-Som is opening a retreat in the Middle East is nothing short of significant for the brand, as well as for Qatar. Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som is located in a pioneering destination in the Middle East that combines traditional Arabic and Islamic medicine with a holistic philosophy of health and wellness, established by Chiva-Som, the internationally renowned wellness center in Thailand.

Following our overview of Marriott’s 2022 hotel development pipeline, there’s one hotel that stands out in this exciting mix of Manhattan hotel openings, and that’s the The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, steeped in history, but we’re told it will feel “completely modern”. The 250-key hotel, which will finally open in February, is home to a spa with eight treatment rooms, an all-day restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés, and nearly 1,000 square meters of event space.

Opening in one of Bolivia’s trendiest neighborhoods, 76-key MET La Paz will house a contemporary design narrative, which will flow through the open lobby/restaurant into guest rooms and suites.

Living in Queen’s Gardens, London

Listed in our “hottest arrivals in 2022”, Living in London’s Queen’s Gardens will open as an intimate boutique hotel featuring 159 uplifting guest rooms, as well as carefully thought out social spaces. Much like its sister hotel, which shares the same city as its home, Inhabit Queen’s Gardens was created with a passion for wellness and living in a way that promotes a healthy mind and body, as well as modeling responsible hospitality practices.
